The challenge
OGJG wanted to offer online lectures without relying solely on external SaaS video tools: enough control, privacy, and capacity for groups of seniors. Sign-up and payment (pay-what-you-can) had to fit a foundation: clear for people 65+ and manageable by staff. The link between the WooCommerce shop, access to lectures, and live Jitsi sessions had to be straightforward and stable.
Our solution
We set up and operate a dedicated Jitsi stack so OGJG can host lectures in a controlled environment. The public WordPress site uses WooCommerce for the online lecture offering: participants order and gain access in line with your workflow, then join the right Jitsi room through clear steps. Pay-what-you-can remains possible within WooCommerce. The UI stays large, clear, and accessible; OGJG manages content and products in WordPress.
