About this project
For the Oud Geleerd Jong Gedaan foundation, colleges.ogjg.nl is live: a membership platform where seniors join live online lectures and rewatch recorded ones. One annual subscription, a 14-day trial, and Mijn OGJG as the overview of what is coming up. Staff manage lectures, members and mail in a back office, not in a webshop.
The challenge
OGJG already ran online lectures, first through WordPress, WooCommerce and a dedicated Jitsi server. That worked as a ticket shop, not as a membership. Seniors had to check out per lecture, recorded lectures had no library of their own, and the team wanted a trial, an annual subscription and a calm overview behind login. The public foundation site could stay on WordPress; the lecture offering itself needed its own platform.
The approach
We built a dedicated platform next to the existing site: membership with a 14-day trial and then an annual subscription, live lectures plus a library of recorded lectures, and Mijn OGJG as the way in. Payments run through Mollie. Live sessions open from the platform into the right broadcast. Staff schedule lectures, visibility and mail in the back office. The foundation site at oudgeleerdjonggedaan.nl stays the public front; colleges.ogjg.nl is where members sign in.
Outcome
- Membership platform live at colleges.ogjg.nl, next to the existing WordPress site
- Annual subscription with a 14-day trial, instead of paying per lecture
- Live lectures and a library of recorded lectures in one account
- Mijn OGJG with upcoming lectures, guides and membership
- Back office where the team keeps lectures, members and mail itself
What is in it
Annual subscription and trial
New members try 14 days for free. After that one annual subscription covers live lectures and the library, with iDEAL and direct debit through Mollie. No ticket per lecture anymore.
Mijn OGJG
After sign-in a member sees upcoming lectures, guides and membership in one place. Large type, few steps, built for people aged 65 and over.
Live online lectures
The monthly programme lives in the platform. Sign-up happens in the member area; the live broadcast opens from the same flow, with no extra software to install.
Library of recorded lectures
Members watch recorded lectures when it suits them. The same catalogue as the live lectures, with duration, topic and a detail page per lecture.
Back office for the team
OGJG manages lectures, visibility, members, discount codes and mail itself. The public foundation site stays on WordPress; the lecture work lives in the platform.
