The challenge
The Volunteer Centre Amsterdam connects thousands of volunteers with social organisations in Amsterdam every year. They needed a platform for three target audiences (volunteers, organisations, and businesses), each with their own needs. Additionally, a powerful job board was required where organisations can post vacancies themselves and volunteers can easily search and filter by location, target group, and theme.
Our solution
We built two interconnected platforms: the main site vca.nu with portals for three target audiences, and vacaturebank.vca.nu as an independent platform for volunteer vacancies. The job board features advanced search and filter capabilities (location, target group, theme, organisation), a login system for organisations to manage vacancies, and integration with VCA's matching process. The main site offers news, volunteer stories, training and workshop information, and an appointment system for personal advice.
